About Melton Strategic Solutions
Beth is the founder and principal consultant at Melton Strategic Solutions. Beth is a former local elected official and educator who is passionate about ensuring that all families have equitable access to child care and providers are supported and thriving. Her work in the child care policy space has explored unique solutions including license-exempt family, friend, and neighbor care, local regulatory reforms, child care infrastructure investments, and use of local voter-approved funds among others. In addition to child care, her policy work has focused on economic mobility, human services, public health, and climate solutions.
Over the course of her career, Beth has worked extensively in the government, education, nonprofit, and political sectors. She is a leader, facilitator, and problem-solver with a knack for project management. Beth is a graduate of Reed College, Lewis and Clark College, and University of Denver and holds degrees in psychology, elementary and early childhood education, and educational leadership and policy studies.
She is currently fulfilling her family’s long-time dream of living in Central America while remaining deeply connected and committed to building good policy that works for people. She loves to read on the beach and debate politics and is brushing up on her Spanish.
